TheUnion HospitalImagingDepartment is currently recruiting for a Full -Time Radiologic Technologist to work at the UH Breast Center

PRICIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Content level expert of radiographic equipment and knowledge and proficiency to troubleshoot.
• Content level expert of radiology supported computer systems and CD burners.
• Performs diagnostic radiographic procedures and quality control as defined by department guidelines.
• Maintains compliance with local, state, and federal regulations in ACR and state licenses. Complies with Joint Commission regulations.
• Assists in the learning process of students and new staff in departmental procedures, quality control and radiation safety.
• Demonstrates problem solving skills, acts as liaison OP Imaging department, clinicians, nursing,and ancillary departments to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Maintains required credentials for CPR, critical skills, and mandatory in-service education.
• Performs other duties as required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum of 3 years' experience as a staff technologist.
• Requires technologist to be experienced in managing accreditations for ACR, MQSA .
• Completion of two-year accredited program in Radiologic Technology is required.
• Mammography certified when applicable (achieved within two years of hire - when applicable)
• State Licensure on Radiation Protection is required.
• CPR Certification
• An Associate's degree is required; candidates are required to obtain their Associates of Science degree (can be substituted within a related field), within three (3) years of their start date as outlined in the Education Agreement required to be signed as a condition of employment.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

• ARRT registered
• Maryland State License
• ARRT Mammography Registered if applicable - the successful completion of the Mammography Registration exam is a requirement for those performing mammography procedures. A technologist, who is recruited and non-certified, will have a grace period of 2 years following hire to pass this exam.

Hourly Pay Range: $33.43 - $53.48 This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare's good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
